Arnold Ludvig (b. 1968) from Faroe Islands started playing electric bass at the tender age of 12 and has since become an award-winning bassist. He began composing jazz in 1991 and has two albums with all his own compositions. Arnold started composing classical music in 2015. His first piece, “Knúkur” for flute and piano, was performed and recorded at Summartónar in 2015 by Nikolos (flute) and Papayiotis Demopoulis (piano), and released on the “Snjólýsi” album on Tutl Records in the Faroe Islands in 2016. Arnold’s second and third classical compositions were performed at the Summartónar Festival in 2016.
