Guo Long (b. 1954) is Professor in the Department of Composition at the Sichuan Conservatory of Music, China. His main works are Dufu “Quatrains” Artistic Conception for the same tenability clarinets (premiered in Chengdu, China, in 2018), “Qiong Yu” for the Japan Nomad Chamber Orchestra (premiered in Chengdu, China in 2014), “Fog” for a chamber orchestra (premiered by Korea Qiming Symphony Orchestra in Daegu, South Korea in 2013), “Poem” (premiered by Luxembourg Sinfonietta in Chengdu, China in 2013), brass trio “Memory of Luxemburg” (premiered by the Luxembourg Sinfonietta in Shanghai, China in 2010), “Sichuan Opera impression” (premiered by Luxembourg Sinfonietta in 2009 in Luxembourg), “Coreopsis in June” (premiered by The 12J Modern Chamber Orchestra of Sichuan Conservatory of Music at the 2007 Hong Kong ISCM Music Festival Sunshine Over Serda), Brass Trio (premiered in 2007 by the Music School of Pacific University in the United States), “Reserved” (premiered by the Swiss Modern Chamber Orchestra in Chengdu, China in 2003), “Haze” (Pipa and double string quartets, premiered by The Symphony Orchestra in Taiwan, China in 1994).
