Jenny Hettne (b. 1977) is a Swedish composer of acoustic and electroacoustic music, with the exploration of sound and timbre as her most important focus. She studied composition with Henrik Strindberg, Ole Lützow-Holm, Jörg Mainka and Bent Sörensen, among others. She has a Master’s Degree in Music Composition from the Academy of Music and Drama at Göteborg University. Her music has been selected for festivals such as the 7th Annual New Music Festival at California State University, USA, Two Days and Two Nights of New Music in Odessa, Ukraine, the Dark Music Days in Reykjavik, Iceland, Klang in Copenhagen, Denmark, the Sound of Stockholm and the Nordic Music Days in Stockholm, Sweden and the 48th Dimitria Festival in Thessaloniki, Greece. Her music has been performed by, among others, Gageego!, Norrbotten Neo, The Peärls Before Swïne Experience, Faint Noise, Jönköpings Sinfonietta, Karin Hellqvist, Jonny Axelsson, Jörgen Pettersson and Kennet Bohman (Sweden), Caput, Duo Harpverk (Iceland), the Griffyn Ensemble (Australia), Ensemble DissonArt (Greece) and the Chamber Ensemble New Music in Ukraine.
