Kaspar Mänd (b. 1989) has graduated from Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre in choir conducting with docent Hirvo Surva and in orchestral conducting with professor Paul Mägi. He continued his studies with professor Zsolt Nagy at the Paris Conservatoire and has received masterclasses from Eri Klas and Risto Joost. In 2009 Mänd established Mixed Choir HUIK! and Uue Tänava Orkester (New Street Orchestra), from 2011 until 2014 he was the chief conductor of chamber choir Voces Musicales and has also conducted mixed choirs at Laulupidu, the Song Festival. Mänd is the conductor of the symphony orchestra of Georg Ots Music School and works at Estonian National Opera. Since the beginning of 2019, Mänd is the chief conductor of Pärnu City Orchestra.
