Madis Metsamart (1971) is a concertmaster at the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra (ERSO) and a valued ensemble partner. In addition to ERSO, he often performs with the Tallinn Chamber Orchestra, the Nordic Symphony Orchestra, the Helsinki Baroque Orchestra and many other orchestras. His most well-known chamber ensemble collaborations include the NYYD Ensemble, the percussion ensemble PaukenfEst, the YXUS Ensemble and the Prezioso string quartet. He has been a musician in the premiere performances and recordings of many Estonian composers’ works. Madis Metsamart has performed and recorded with the Villu Veski – Tiit Kalluste duo, the Tõnis Mägi Band, Robert Jürjendal and other musicians. Madis Metsamart has taken part in many theatre plays and played in the music for various films.
