Olev Muska (b. 1953) is a musician who is equally at home as a designer, filmmaker, writer, publisher and educator. As a composer/producer, Olev’s prodigious musical output exists primarily in recorded form on tapes, cassettes, vinyl, CDs, DVDs and computer hard drives – a tiny fraction of which has been published on his own Estoterix label or, recently, on a couple of independent labels. He has performed and toured in a variety of guises, both locally and internationally. His DIY debut single “Tuljak” and album “Old Estonian Waltzes” was produced at his Western Sydney home studio and released in the 1980’s and are regarded as Estonia’s first folktronica recordings.
