there are no more four seasons is the name of a duo comprised of the electronic musician Mattias Petersson and experimental violinist George Kentros. They take older pieces of music and recompose them as if the composer were alive today, taking what they hear with their modern ears and translating the results into new versions of historical music. To date, they have composed three concert-length pieces based on works by Vivaldi, Biber, and Johan Strauss, as well as a shorter works based on Ravel. They also work on organic chamber musical collaborations between electronics and violin, and have presented many workshops and seminars on the melding of electronics and acoustic instruments. Their self-titled debut CD was named one of the ten best classical recordings of the decade by Sweden’s biggest daily paper Dagens Nyheter.
