Kristo Klaus (b. 1996) was born in Paide where he studied saxophone in a local music school. In 2022, he graduated from Heino Eller Tartu Music College with a degree in composition (Age Veeroos’s class). Klaus received the LHV Young Composer Award in 2020 and the first prize at the festival of choir music and choral arrangements KOORIVISIOON 2021, organised by Estonian Choral Association. Until now, he has essentially written choral music. In 2022, in parallel with composition studies, Kristo Klaus graduated from Tartu University with a degree in medicine and he currently works as a paediatric resident at Tallinn Children’s Hospital. He also sings in the chamber choir Voces Tallinn.
