
Brenda Pärtel (b. 2000) is a composer, choir conductor, and chromatic kannel player who has been recognized for her work in both kannel and choral music. She began her education in the music class of Tallinn 21st School while simultaneously studying chromatic kannel at the Tallinn Music School. She earned her choir conducting diploma with a silver badge from the Georg Ots Tallinn Music School. Since 2023, she has been studying composition under the guidance of Tõnu Kõrvits at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre. Pärtel has received several awards, including the grand prize for “LHV Young Composer 2023” with her piece “Nähtamatu vesi”. In 2024, the Kadrina Mixed Choir, conducted by Pärtel, was awarded a silver diploma at the XV Interkultur International Choir Competition in Austria. Her works have been published in various collections, and she has composed pieces for different ensembles.
