Doris Hallmägi
Doris Hallmägi (b. 1990) graduated from the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre in 2018 in electroacoustic composition under the tutelage of Margo Kõlar. She participates in several music collectives, including the Ensemble of the Estonian Electronic Music Society (EMA), and has composed works for choirs, orchestras, ensembles, dance and theatre performances. Doris is interested in experimenting with different music genres and combining electronic and acoustic music, lifting one of them into the spotlight while others accompany it and then vice versa. She likes to play with opposites – dynamic movement and stillness, alive and lifeless, rhythmic and flowing.
