Piano duo Kadri-Ann Sumera & Talvi Hunt

The collaboration between Kadri-Ann Sumera and Talvi Hunt has been brief but fruitful. Their debut at the ISCM World Music Days in 2019 in Tallinn immediately became a favourite among audiences and received widespread acclaim. Talvi and Kadri-Ann’s duo is enriched by their broad musical perspectives — while Talvi is devoted to contemporary music and has studied it in depth in Lucerne, Kadri-Ann’s repertoire is notably wide-ranging, spanning from Baroque to the newest contemporary works. Thus, both artists complement the ensemble with their individual strengths.
An important part of their repertoire consists of works by Estonian composers. In 2024, Kadri-Ann and Talvi released an album featuring Ardo Ran Varres’ cycle 13 Pieces for Two Pianos on Estonian Runic Melodies, written especially for them.
Beyond music, the pianists also share a passion for demolishing houses and getting lost in the forest on bicycles.
